At Slab Design Union, Alan encourages a collaborative, proactive, hands-on approach to design, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and end-users to fully understand the requirements of each project and deliver architecture that exceeds the brief and is environmentally and socially responsible.
Slab Design Union was originally established in 2013 by Alan Morrissey, an ARB registered and RIBA chartered architect with over two decades of professional experience. Alan studied at the Birmingham School of Architecture (graduating in 2000), and the Oxford Brookes School of Architecture (graduating in 2005), where his thesis project was nominated for the RIBA Silver Medal. Alan became a registered architect in 2010.

Alan has been a visiting tutor at the Birmingham School of Architecture, a Part 3 Professional Studies Mentor in Practice, and is currently a Part 3 Professional Studies Examiner at the Manchester School of Architecture.
